SinDee grew up on a farm surrounded by animals near Lake Baikal in Siberia—a world away from crowded streets and city skylines. She still considers it one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Whenever life gets noisy, a long walk in nature helps her slow down, notice the details and find room for new ideas.

Today, SinDee is a proud member of the KC Klitty Crew. The letters on her pink beanie represent a creative community she is delighted to belong to. But belonging has never meant giving up her individuality. For SinDee, few things matter more than being able to speak her mind freely. Her outlook is deeply liberal: she values personal freedom, open discussion and the right to live differently.

Paid for with her own money

That curiosity has taken her around the world, paid for with her own hard-earned money. SinDee has never been afraid of work or considered an honest job beneath her. Every journey has been something she worked towards, and she takes quiet pride in knowing how she got there.

These days, her murals and merchandise provide a good living, allowing her to keep travelling, meet new people and discover cultures beyond her own. It is a freedom she appreciates enormously. Making a living through her creativity means she can spend more time doing the things that inspire it.

What puts her off

What puts her off? Arrogance, thoughtlessness and a lack of consideration for others. She has little patience for people who are too busy talking to listen, or who treat their family background as a personal achievement. SinDee is much more interested in how someone behaves than in the family they come from.

Art as a language

For her, creative expression is a language in its own right—one that can always become richer and more nuanced. Developing as an artist means nurturing sensitivity: learning to observe closely, listen carefully and remain receptive to feelings and experiences beyond your own. A conversation, an unfamiliar landscape or a small act of kindness can teach her something worth bringing into her work.
