VenRod from the Klitty Crew

VenRod – full name Rodriguez Ventura – was born on 1 January 1970 – a fresh start on the very first day of the year. Maybe that is why he still believes every good conversation deserves a clean page and a well-sharpened pencil.

The crew's interview editor

In 2018 VenRod joined the Klitty Crew as its interview editor. He works the way DeeNice likes it: she decides whom the crew would one day like to talk to, he does the reading, the looking and the questions. The two of them have a simple rule – study first, ask later.

Ten studies, three tributes

Since then they have travelled to Paris, Zurich, New York, Barcelona and Berlin to stand in front of the work of artists they admire: stencils in Paris, whole cars and canvases in New York, a ghost character in Barcelona. VenRod photographs, takes notes and fills notebook after notebook with «questions for later». For the legends who are no longer with us, the crew held tribute evenings instead.

Grey curls and a heart balloon

You can spot VenRod from far away: wavy grey hair, glasses, a well-kept goatee, orange KC sweater, blue sneakers with red laces – and, on good days, a red heart balloon. His Zurich thinking spot is the Ole Ole Bar, where most of his questions are born.

Asking at last

In 2026, after eight years of studying, VenRod and DeeNice decided it was time: the first real interview requests for CatWorldNews went out, one letter per week.
