Mickry 3 (also written Mickry3) is a Zurich artist trio: Nina von Meiss, Christina Pfander and Dominique Vigne. They met at the F+F school of art and media design, have worked together since 1998 and only ever sign as a group. Their sculptures, reliefs and installations mix comics, pop culture and everyday objects with a sharp eye on consumer culture – funny at first glance, often uncomfortable at the second.

They are not graffiti writers, but much of their work stands in public space: reliefs at Zurich's Rosengarten and Schütze site, a concrete lioness at the temporary city hall, sculptures in Schlieren and Steffisburg. This page lists those places, their key works, museum and gallery shows, press, the 2020 Migros bag affair, auction searches and the artists they have shown with.

Questions about Mickry 3

Who is Mickry 3?

Mickry 3 is a Zurich artist trio – Nina von Meiss (born 1978), Christina Pfander (1980) and Dominique Vigne (1981). They met at the F+F school of art and media design, have worked together since 1998 and make sculptures, reliefs, installations and public art as one collective.

Is Mickry 3 street art or graffiti?

Not in the classic sense: they do not paint walls illegally. But a lot of their work lives in public space – the Love is the Message relief at the Rosengarten, the Schütze reliefs and the lioness at the temporary city hall in Zurich, sculptures in Schlieren – and they took part in the Graffiti in between festival in Alexandria in 2011.

Where can I see Mickry 3 in Zurich?

Inside: the Einfach Zürich room at the Landesmuseum. Outside: the lioness at the temporary city hall on Bullingerplatz, the concrete reliefs at the Schütze site in Kreis 5 and the Rosengarten in Wipkingen. In Schlieren look for their sculpture south of the Stadthaus (2026).

What was the Migros bag controversy?

In 2020 Migros Zurich commissioned carrier bags from Mickry 3 to cheer up shoppers during the lockdown. After printing, the cooperative found the drawings of a naked woman 'sexist' and had the bags destroyed – reports speak of 60,000 to 120,000. The trio said the designs had been approved.

How much is a Mickry 3 artwork worth?

Their own shop sells small editions such as silk scarves for CHF 90–150 and a hand-painted laptop sculpture for CHF 120. Original sculptures are sold through galleries or directly by the artists on request, and auction results are rare, so ask the artists or a gallery for comparable prices.

Are there Mickry 3 exhibitions in 2026?

Yes. Their news page lists Nette Fette Kette, a chain of recycled cuddly toys in Zurich's Johanneskirche, and the LOK pop-up store of Kunstmuseum St. Gallen (22 March to 8 November 2026); a new sculpture stands in Schlieren.
